Why should I buy a C:Pesa® DIGIREC®?
C:Pesa DIGIRECs® provide a verified Energy Attribute Certificate (“EAC”) in digital form issued using, for example, using the I-TRACK Standard Foundation’s taxonomy, which embeds additional enhanced proof of generation and assurance data gathered directly for the source of clean, green electricity generation.
Buyers of C:Pesa DIGIRECs® can retain or retire C:Pesa DIGIRECs® to match their Scope 2 requirements for Electricity for assurance and compliance purposes, or sell these via the C:Pesa® platform.
How is the C:Pesa DIGIRECs® different from non-digital Energy Attribute Certificates?
C:Pesa DIGIRECs® are digital versions of traditional Energy Attribute Certificates, enhanced with real-time data capture and certification. Unlike standard EACs, C:Pesa DIGIRECs® include additional immutable metadata secured on a ledger. This provides a more robust, verifiable record of clean, green electricity production.
What amount of electricity production does the C:Pesa DIGIRECs® represent?
One C:Pesa DIGIRECs® is created for every megawatt hour (MWh) of clean, green electricity generated at a facility which has installed a C:Pesa® Appliance.
Why should I install a C:Pesa® Appliance?
The C:Pesa® Appliance is installed at a clean, green electricity production facility, such as next to a solar/wind/hydro/geothermal inverter. It captures and records real-time clean, green electricity data on a secure, immutable ledger, serving as the fundamental data source for issuing C:Pesa® DIGIREC®. These high-quality Energy Attribute Certificates can then be sold for their environmental value to generate a new revenue stream. It also provides producers with an enhanced and integrated view of clean, green electricity generation across the site.
What security measures does C:Pesa® implement to protect the integrity of C:Pesa DIGIRECs® data?
C:Pesa® uses advanced encryption and a ledger system to ensure that all data captured and recorded is secure and immutable. These measures prevent tampering and ensure that each C:Pesa DIGIRECs® meets the highest standards of data integrity and compliance for independent third-party verification.
As a clean, green electricity producer, why should I use the C:Pesa® platform?
The C:Pesa® platform fully automates the process of generating high-quality fully compliant Energy Attribute Certificates and makes it very straightforward to then trade these, enabling a new stream of revenue to be generated with very little manual effort required.
As a buyer of Energy Attribute Certificates, why should I use the C:Pesa® platform?
The C:Pesa® platform is currently the only location that C:Pesa DIGIRECs® can be purchased, providing buyers with full transparency to independently verify the authenticity and provenance of each Energy Attribute Certificate right down to the underlying clean, green electricity production level at source and plant-level and also provide granular data on precisely when it was generated, down to a 15-minute interval.
The platform also enables the C:Pesa DIGIRECs® to be retired and for reports for internal stakeholders and external compliance to be automatically generated, to help buyers achieve clean, green net-zero electricity.
The C:Pesa® platform can also be used for external sales into secondary trading spot markets for enhanced price discovery and hedging.

Electricity in a grid can’t be labelled — once power joins the network, no one can trace an electron to its source. So the fact that a megawatt-hour was generated cleanly is recorded separately from the electricity itself, as a certificate. Whoever retires that certificate may count it toward their target, and it can be retired only once.
What is a DIGIREC?
A genuine I-REC(E) carrying C:Pesa’s verification label and the measurement record behind it — the device that measured the generation, the fifteen-minute window it occurred in, and the validation event.
Is a DIGIREC a different kind of certificate?
